      Andrei Grositsky, Russian, Soviet era, 1934 to 2017, oil painting on canvas, The Trumpet, 1987. Signed, titled, and dated, on the backside. Andrei Borisovich Grositsky was a Russian artist. His work is genetically linked with domestic nonconformism or other art, but today he is perceived as one of the leading authors who worked in line with the conceptualization of pictorial plasticity. Grositsky is usually mentioned among the founders of Russian Pop art. Grositskys work is in a number of public collections, including the Zimmerli Rutgers University Museum, New Brunswick, New Jersey, USA, the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, a number of regional museums in Russia, and in many private collections around the world. One of a kind artwork.

      Andrey Grositsky (Russian, 1934 - 2017), oil on hardboard panel painting "Baton," 1967. Signed in the Cyrillic, titled and dated on the back. This is a rare early work, the bread was the artist's favorite theme. In this work, the artist depicted the bread loaf (baton) as if it is trying to leave the painting. It is a very unusual technique for the artist. Andrey Grositsky was a Moscow nonconformist artist. His style and position were formed in the 1960s in the circle of Moscow underground artists such as Ilya Kabakov, Eric Bulatov, Ivan Chuikov, Boris Turetsky, Yuri Zlotnikov.
