Signed and dated "M. Grixoni 1917" in red lower right corner. Inscribed "Colonel House by the Count Grixoni", en verso. Housed in a giltwood frame with reeded and lamb's tongue molding having placard reading "Colonel Edward M. House/Advisor to Pres. Woodrow Wilson/by Count Mario Grixoni/exh. 1914-1940, London" affixed to lower sight edge. Sight: 37 3/8" H x 27 3/8" W.
