Linda Gredy Art for Sale and Sold Prices

Life is a series of intersections and connections. Painting is a way to capture those meaningful encounter and reveal the artist's experience to the viewer.
Painting is my method of "remembering" the important moments and conveying the significance of those touch points. I hope my paintings capture those essential intersections. A finished painting, for me, becomes the junction where the viewer and the artist meet. I endeavor to take the meaningful intersections and convert them into individual paintings. Each painting then becomes a visual record, a fragment of a larger experience.
The quote from Dietrich Bonhoeffer expresses most clearly and powerfully what I hope my art-making will produce. Moments that remain. Necessary fragments.

"It all depends on whether or not the fragment of our life reveals the plan and material of the whole. There are fragments which are only good to be thrown away, and others which are only good to be thrown away, and others which are important for centuries to come because their fulfillment can only be divine work. They are fragments of necessity. In our life, however remotely, reflects such a fragment... we shall not have to bewail our fragmentary life, but, on the contrary, rejoice in it."
