      A carved beechwood figure of Christ resurrected, by Vitus Graupensberg

      This small relief of the resurrected Saviour can be dated to around 1750. It depicts Christ with the stigmata and the Cross, floating amid clouds and surrounded by angels. In a cave carved into the rock that forms the base of the sculpture, we see the defeated Satan with a human skeleton. The right edge of the cross inscribed "Krauppensberg".

These sculptors are famous for their combination figures made from wood and ivory Striding beggar on a flat plinth holding a coin in his left hand and a bag in his right Height (without separate base): 31 cm Good condition This item can only be delivered to an address within the EU Condition: The figure is in good condition. The ivory displays larger tension cracks in places. Without the profiled base, it is 31 cm tall. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
