Biography

Margot attended Julian Ashton Art School in the early/mid 70's and was taught by Dick and Philip Ashton, Ian Chapman and Peter Dorahy.



Margot paints in both oil and watercolour and has lately found a new love of watercolour paintings of which her large scale still-lifes have become incredibly popular. She feels watercolour allows her to paint more freely.


Margot varies her themes constantly, as she likes to paint everything that is traditional, however, she likes to specialise in paintings of figures in landscape which mainly include water in their theme. Her work is influenced by the Impressionists and is slightly romanticised.



Having consistently won many awards over the years, Margot has paintings in overseas collections. She is also a longstanding member of the Kuringai Art Society, which has three shows a year.
