Yves GOT Art for Sale and Sold Prices

Yves Got studied art in New York and was a respected painter and graphic artist long before he turned his hand to children's book illustration and created Sam (Didou in French). He lives in France, teaches painting and loves to spend time with his grandchildren.

His book series was adapted into an animated series under the title "Louie". Louie is based on the rabbit from the children's book illustrated by Yves.


Yves Got , born on September 11 , 1939 1 in Cahors , is a French author-illustrator. He created the series " Didou ".


He joined the Visual Arts School in New York .

In 1976 he created in L'Echo des savanes , with René Pétillon in the screenplay, Le Baron noir , a comic book transposing into a cruel and caricatural animal world the dissensions that exist in our society. The series appears daily in the newspaper Le Matin de Paris from 1977 to 1980 .

We follow him both as a cartoonist for La Croix , Le Monde , Libération , Le Canard Chained , VSD and as a comics author ( Images in Cages (Futuropolis), The Black Arena (Flammarion), Didou (Albin Michel ), etc.).

He also collaborates and publishes in Pilot , Metal screaming , L'Echo des savanes , Psikopat , Charlie Monthly.

He is also author of youth books, in particular of the whole series " Didou ".

He has been teaching at Ecole Émile-Cohl in Lyon since 1985 .
