Mr. Goodman was born and raised in New York City and graduated from Columbia University. the Franklin concern, established in 1959, was one of the first small business investment companies formed under the sponsorship of the Federal Small Business Administration. Before forming his own company, Mr. Goodman was an executive Vice President of Textron Inc., the industrial conglomerate.? - New York Times obituary February 5, 1986. Mr. Goodman resided with his wife Estelle Goodman, at the fabled Majestic on Central Park West at 72nd Street in Manhattan and shared an art studio in the apartment. It would appear that Mr. Goodman?s artistic talents were inspired and encouraged by his wife Estelle. This work is from the Goodman estate. A collection that has only now been rediscovered. While Mr. Goodman died in 1986, his wife Estelle continued on living and creating art in their artist studio home that had been vacant and under lock and key since 2007.
