Estelle Goodman (1930-2007, American) was a modernist expressionist painter and sculptor during the mid 20th Century in New York. Ms. Goodman resided at the fabled Majestic on Central Park West at 72nd Street in Manhattan and had an art studio in her apartment. Her artist studio home had been vacant and under lock and key since 2007. The works in this fresh to the market trove of modernist, expressionist, abstract and mid century paintings and sculpture are on the market for the first time in decades. Ms. Goodman studied at and graduated from Barnard College. As a woman artist, Ms. Goodman often explored concepts of the human figure in both sculpture and painting. Ms. Goodman was known to have cast at the Modern Art Foundry in Astoria, Queens, New York.
