(Torino, 1808 - Giaveno, 1889) Vista dell'antico castello di Orignano del Conte Carrù, 1833 Firmato F Gonin e datato 1833 in basso a destra Acquerello su carta applicata su carta, cm 18X24,5 Inscritto: Vue de l'ancien château d'Arignano appartenant à Monsieur le Comte Carrù. Acquerelle de Gonin achetée en 1839. Francesco Gonin si formò all'Accademia di Torino, dove fu allievo di Lorenzo Pecheux e di Giovanni Battista Biscarra, alternando spesso gli studi all'attività lavorativa, dedicandosi specialmente alla produzione di litografie e alla decorazione. Notevole è la sua produzione di scene storiche e quella ritrattistica, assai apprezzata dall'aristocrazia sabauda, come dimostrano le grandi commissioni regie da parte di Carlo Alberto di Savoia-Carignano, l'amicizia con Massimo d'Azeglio, pittore, letterato e infine politico di spicco del Risorgimento italiano e i contatti con Alessandro Manzoni, che gli affiderà l'illustrazione dei suoi Promessi Sposi.

Monetti, Omaggio a Francesco Gonin (1808 - 1889), Cantalupa 2019, p. 99 con bibliografia precedente Francesco Gonin si formì all'Accademia di Torino, dove fu allievo di Lorenzo Pecheux e di Giovanni Battista Biscarra, alternando spesso gli studi all'attività lavorativa, dedicandosi specialmente alla produzione di litografie e alla decorazione. GEMÄLDEPAAR MIT DARSTELLUNG NEAPOLITANISCHER FISCHER Öl auf Leinwand. 23 x 28 cm. Eines der Bilder rechts seitlich signiert und datiert "1833". In alten Rahmen der Zeit. Eines der beiden Bilder zeigt einen nach dem Fischfang müde ruhenden, alten Fischer, der sich an den Kahn lehnt, links Meeresufer. Das Gegenstück zeigt einen jüngeren Fischer, der mit seinem Kind spielt, an einer Mauer sitzend. Er hält dem Kind eine Frucht entgegen. Beide Fischer in der typischen neapolitanischen Kleidung mit roter Mütze. (9521311)
