Juan Ramos Valdes Gomez was born in Manicaragua, and attended the Instituto Superior de Arte in Havana. He has exhibited in over twenty group and one-man shows in Havana and Santa Clara, and has participated in national and provincial expositions, such as at the Salon Nacional de Premiados, Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Havana and the Salon Proviencial de Artes Plasticas in Villa Clara, for over fifteen years.
