      Georg Goldberg (1830 Nuremberg - 1894 Munich) after Giovanni Brindesi (before 1850 - after 1877 ): Horse and cart with Turkish wagon, c. 1860, Steel engraving Technique: Steel engraving on Paper Date: c. 1860 Description: Inscribed lower left "Brindesi pinx.", inscribed lower right "Goldberg sculp.", named "Turkish Chariot (Talica)". Driving along a path, the viewer sees a team of horses in the foreground pulling a richly decorated carriage. Four people are sitting in it, dressed in oriental-looking garments. In the middle ground, further figures can be seen standing under a sunshade, also wearing oriental garments. The "Turkish Chariot" is accompanied by three dogs in the foreground.
