      A putto head Joseph Götsch (1728 Längenfeld i. Ötztal - 1793 Bad Aibling near Rosenheim), circa 1760 Lime wood, carved in the round, unpainted. Minor restoration. H. 37 cm. Lebensnah modellierte pausbäckige Kinderphysiognomie. Möglicherweise ehemals Bekrönung eines Beichtstuhls. Gut vergleichbar sind die Puttenbüsten der Beichtstühle Götschs in der ehem.       Götsch, Joseph - attrib. - Saint Sebastian (Längenfeld 1728-1793 Markt Aibling) Standing on a natural base in a contrapost, the head slightly inclined to the left, with raised arms, the martyr unclothed except for loincloth. Hardwood, leached color frame. H. 138 cm. - One toe and the arrows lost. // Götsch, Joseph - attrib. Heiliger Sebastian (Längenfeld 1728-1793 Markt Aibling) Auf Natursockel im Kontrapost stehend, das Haupt leicht nach links geneigt, mit erhobenen Armen, der bis auf Lendentuch unbekleidete Märtyrer. Laubholz, abgelaugte Farbfassung. H. 138 cm. - Eine Zehe und die Pfeile verloren.

      Linden wood, carved all round and gilt Germany, circa 1760/70 Joseph Götsch (1728-1793) attributed - German wood-carver of the Rococo Three-dimensional angels facing each other and holding candlesticks; they wear curly hair and loincloths Later gilding Overall height: 75 cm each Provenance: Collection of the tenor Michele Tiziano, Germany Lovely pair of angels in expressive postures The present pair of angels holding candlesticks are probably the work of the German sculptor Joseph Götsch (1728-1793). The three-dimensional figures consist of all round carved linden wood and were gilt at a later date. The angels face each other and are depicted with curly hair and loincloth. With their hands, they carry decorative candlesticks in form of cornucopias. The figures show major restoration marks, mainly affecting the glued wings. The upper part of the cornucopias and the candle domes were probably replaced. In addition, there are marks of an inactive woodworm infestation some losses of the material and the gilding. In some parts, mainly to the wings, are still visible the original colors. The total height of the figures is 75 cm each. Joseph Götsch (1728-1793) Born in Bad Aibling in the district of Rosenheim, the wood carver Joseph Götsch was a student and collaborator of Franz Ignaz Günther (1725-1775). He mainly worked for the church in Rott at the Inn. He there executed several major works, including the pulpit, the confessionals, the pews and the side altars. Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.

      Götsch, Joseph attr. 1728 (?) - 1793 (?). Standing putto. Carved wood, painted in polychrome colours. Good age-related condition. Fingers partially restored. The sculptor Joseph Götsch from Bad Aibling crafted some works for the church of the Bavarian Benedictine monastery Rott Abbey in Rott am Inn. Provenance: private collection North Rhine-Westphalia. 1728 (?) - 1793 (?). Stehender Putto. Holz, vollrund geschnitzt und polychrom gefasst. Guter, altersbedingter Zustand. Finger teils rest. H. 13, B. 5,5 cm. Der Holzbildhauer Joseph Götsch aus Bad Aibling fertigte einige Arbeiten für die Kirche des Benediktinerklosters in Rott am Inn. Provenienz: Privatsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen.
