Édition originale de cette relation laissée par le lieutenant de vaisseau, Victor Giraud (Morestel, 1850 - Plombières, 1898) qui a voyagé en Afrique centrale de 1882 à 1884, de Dar-es-salam jusqu'au lac Bangouelo et a continué par le lac Nyassa et le Zambèze.
