Contemp. handcoloured engraving after F. SIGAULT, heightened with gold, 41,5x28,9 cm., signed and dated "21 April, 1828" in the plate (very fine). = Engraving of the bust of Willem I by F. SIGAULT that was made on occasion of the "Tentoonstelling van Nationale Nijverheid" in Haarlem and that is displayed in the Sint Bavo church, Haarlem. Beautiful colouring. One copy traced in the Noord-Hollandsarchief. SEE ILLUSTRATION PLATE XCVII. AND 14 others related: a portrait of Frederika Louisa Wilhelmina by W. VAN SENUS (sl. foxed; Van Someren 624b); a lithogr. full length portrait of Willem I by TH. FOURMOIS on chine appliqué (margins trifle foxed; Van Someren 606) and "Den erfprins van Oranje. Will: Fred: Goer: Lod: 1814. Nederlands Redding" (handcol. engraving, Amst., P. Boscetti. Not traced) and the left half of R. DE HOOGHE, Victory of Willem III over the United Irish and French troops on the Boyne (etching, 53x45 cm. A few closed sm. tears and several strengthened spots on verso w. tape (incl. former central fold). RdH the Etcher p.164). - ADDED: 2 others, both on the imprisonment of the Marquess of Chabannes by L. VAN DEN WILDENBERG and P.
