Lorenzo Ghiglieri Art for Sale at Auction

American artist Lorenzo Ghiglieri was awarded an art scholarship at age 17, but he had to cut his education short when he was called into the military during the Korean War. The first commissioned Lorenzo Ghiglieri painting was a seascape for the U.S. Government to give to United Kingdom's Queen Elizabeth II on her coronation. He eventually moved to Alaska, at which point Lorenzo Ghiglieri's paintings focused on the indigenous peoples and harsh wilderness.

Lorenzo Ghiglieri's artwork is not limited to oil paintings; he is also a celebrated master sculptor. In 1994, Lorenzo Ghiglieri's sculpture Official American Bald Eagle, created from bronze, silver, and gold, was made a permanent piece in the White House art collection.
