Architecture painter, Landscape painter, Painter, copperplate engraver, Etcher, b. 1881 - d. 1965

Paul Geissler's prints and etchings capture a moment in time. He was born in Erfurt, Germany, in 1881. Geissler began his career as an artist at the School of Arts and Crafts in Erfurt and later went on to study at the School of Arts in Weimar. His love for painting soon transitioned into a passion for etching, for which he is best known. An extensive traveler, Paul Geissler's etchings reflect the world he experienced as he absorbed the scenery, people, and landmarks of major cities around the globe.

He spent a large amount of time in the United States and Europe during the 1920s and 1930s, recording the everyday scenes of such places as New York, Berlin, and Washington D.C. Paul Geissler's prints are a glimpse into the world during that time. Collectors can find vintage etchings for sale at online auction to find a piece that suits their decor.
