Larry Vincent Garrison Sold at Auction Prices

b. 1923 - d. 2007

While serving in the United States Marine Corps during WWII, artist Larry Vincent Garrison was commissioned by other marines to create their portraits so they could send them home to their loved ones. Yet although he began his career in portraiture, artist Larry Vincent Garrison switched to female nudes in 1963. Larry Vincent Garrison's paintings were attempts at capturing the body language, form, and complex nature of his feminine subject matter.

Because Larry Vincent Garrison's art dealt with the nude figure, it was by nature controversial, yet he did not let controversy curb his artistic interests. He felt that everyone had their own version of the ideal female form, so one should expect criticism when painting nudes. You can find your perfect vision of the human body by browsing various tasteful interpretations in nude prints available at Invaluable.
