Note: Textile sculptor John Garrett works with various found materials to weave sculptural constructions like the present and following works which date from the early 1980s. Originally from southern New Mexico, the artist was educated at Claremont's Men's College and UCLA. He taught at various Los Angeles-area schools from 1972-1988 before returning permanently to New Mexico in 1990.
