Condition B+: overpainting over replaced losses and repaired pin holes in corners; repaired tears at edges. Framed. An intricate and informative image from the Golden Age of travel, this poster shows in full, first-rate detail, a cross section of the Centaurus (S. 812 G-ADUT), one of the Short "C" class flying boats. In 1934, British Imperial Airways ordered 28 of the flying boats. Here, we are shown both the inner and outer wonders of the craft, as well as many of its statistics. This is the English version. British Aviation p. 12 (var).

A cross-section view of the luxurious flying boat model G-ADSR, with passenger and cockpit areas labled in French. Brought into service in the mid 1930s, Imperial Airway's flying boats revolutionized long-distance travel. Despite the airlines success with long-haul routes to India and Africa, it merged with British Airways in 1939 to form B. O. A. C.
