Gardiner (Alfred Clive) Collection of 95 original drawings for Gardiner's 'Many Furrows by 'Alpha of the Plough'', including small vignettes, head- and tail-pieces, full-page studies, and includes the illustrated title, pen and black inks, white correction fluid, pencil, all with numerous inscriptions and annotations by the artist, on artist's board and thick wove paper, various sizes from 80 x 75 mm (3 1/8 x 3 in) and 315 x 180 mm (12 1/4 x 7 in), scattered spotting throughout, handling creases, some folds, nicks and tears to extremities, surface dirt, unframed, [circa 1924] Provenance: Sale.
