      K-HITO (Villanueva del Arzobispo, 1890-Madrid, 1984). "Illustration". Ink and watercolor on paper. Signed in the lower left corner. Measurements: 27 x 20 cm; 46 x 40 cm (frame). K-Hito was the pseudonym of Ricardo García López (1890-1984), Spanish humorist, cartoonist, bullfighting critic, film producer and magazine editor. Considered part of the Generation of '27, he was founder and director of four magazines, in whose pages he created several characters, such as Gutiérrez, Macaco, Currinche and Don Turulato. n 1907 he moved to Valencia, where he began to collaborate in humor magazines and offered the first exhibition of his work in 1912 at the Círculo de Bellas Artes. Together with Joaquín Xaudaró and Antonio Got, he founded the Sociedad Española de Dibujos Animados (SEDA) in 1932. During the Civil War he lived in Valencia, where he worked as a calligraphy teacher at the Academia Comercial Morales.
