Sculptor, Painter, b. 1847 - d. 1929

A pupil of the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, Hippolyte Marius Galy is the pupil of Auguste Dumont (1801-1884) in sculpture and Fernand Cormon (1845-1924) in painting1. He was a member of the Society of French Artists in 1891. He made several models and many sculptures for the palaces and constructions of the Paris Universal Exhibitions. From his life in the Basque country, he brought back many paintings.
