        Large Ralph Gallagher (1926-2000) Cigar Store Indian Corn Maiden With Papoose. Artist signed "John Gallagher" on the left arm. For years the Gallagher family has been hand crafting the most beautiful, unique wood carved cigar store Indians & wood carved caricature statues in the world. It's a craft that has been handed down from generation to generation. Every one of their statues are made with hours of labor and love. John Gallagher was born in Wickenburg, Arizona in 1965. John comes from a long history of woodcarvers; he is a third-generation woodcarver. John was his father's apprentice at the age of 5 years, his father Ralph Gallagher has since passed on, he was proud to see his son's & grandsons learn the trade of woodcarving and continue this unique skill. John Gallagher has received awards and honors in recognition of his carvings. John Gallagher is a master woodcarver. He has been carving for 45 years since he was 5 years old.
