Edward H. Frost Sold at Auction Prices

Ted Frost was born in Springfield, OH in 1919, and grew up in Cleveland Heights. He had a BA from Wesleyan University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Upon graduating from the business school, he joined the Air Group Commanders' staff on a newly commissioned aircraft carrier, which went to the South Pacific during the war with Japan. Ted's entire career after World War II was spent in the printing industry. According to Ted, "We printed for the educational book publishers in New York and Boston. We also were Random House's primary printer for Dr. Seuss' children books.

Ted has had invitational solo exhibitions in Cleveland and Oberlin, as well as having been in group shows in Provence, Vermont, Maine and Cleveland. Although he had always appreciated art, having haunted galleries and museums wherever he and his wife traveled, he did not start painting until 1980. He was immediately hooked and graduated in 1988 from The Cleveland Institute of Art".
