Provenance: Estate Annemarie Dressel, wife of Fritz Dressel, former president of Woolworth Co. for Germany; heirs. GERMAN TEXT: 1810 Schmiedefeld - 1896 ebd. Porträt Hugo und Wilhelm Dressel. Pastell/Papier. Doppelporträt zweier Jungen mit kurzen blonden Haaren, der eine in einem roten Kleid, der andere in einem schwarzen Kleid mit einem Steckenpferd. U.l. sign. und 1851 dat. Verso Etikett mit Nachlass-Inventar-Nr. 70/78 und Provenienzangaben. Min. Farbverlust. H. 46, B. 50 cm. Dargestellt sind der Vater von Fritz Dressel und sein Bruder Hugo.
