Transport 73: Red Flag’ on the stretcher Dimensions: 80 x 70.5 cm Mounted in aluminum frame: 80.5 x 71 cm Good condition One of Frenzel’s typical color intensive and dynamic compositions Condition: The painting is in good overall condition. The canvas is slightly wavy to the corners. The dimensions are 80 x 70,5 cm, while the frame measures 80.5 x 71 cm. Fridolin Frenzel (b. 1930) Fridolin Frenzel was born in Thuringia and trained with Hermann Kirchberger in Weimar and Georg Muche in Krefeld. He was inspired by the Bauhaus and German Expressionism. He made acquaintance with the Brücke painter Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, as well with Otto Dix. Some of his work show an influence of Tachisme.
