Susan Freda Sold at Auction Prices

Susan Freda is a sculptor known for her deft use of materials such as glass and wire to create intricate and organic sculptural wall works. She employs form, line and light as vehicles to create ephemeral works that hold the viewer entranced with their ethereal shadow play and quiet sparkle.

Susan received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and her MFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design. She has been the recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Award, a Rhode Island State Council on the Arts Public Art Grant and a de Young Museum Artist-in-Residence Award. Her shoe and dress forms have been presented by Stuart Weitzman, Neiman Marcus, Ferragamo, Gotham of London and by the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Artists Gallery. Her work is included in the collection of the Museo Italo Americano of San Francisco, and in numerous private as well as corporate collections. She is represented by Rosenbaum Contemporary Art & Patricia Rovzar Gallery.
