Measurements: 146 x 114 cm. Miguel Ángel Follente studied drawing and painting in Madrid, in the Círculo de Bellas Artes and in the Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes de San Fernando. He then travelled to Paris, Rome, Amsterdam, Berlin and London to further his artistic training. His work, which can be placed within the surrealist and metaphysical trends, is characterised by its great richness of colour and by its series of symbolic elements connected to the problems of man and society of our time. Throughout his career Follente has taken part in numerous group exhibitions held in Logroño, Huesca and Madrid. His first individual exhibition took place at the Centro Cultural de Madrid and, after exhibiting in Guadalajara and Pamplona, he presented his work in London at the International Contemporary Art Fair and at the Brompton Gallery. In 1992 he showed his work at the Díaz & Arnau Gallery in Madrid. This painter has been awarded First Prizes by the Círculo de Bellas Artes, the Muestra Nacional de Dibujo, the Salón Nacional de Artes Plásticas and the Salón de la Crítica de Arte, all in Madrid. His work is currently represented in the Museum of Fine Arts in Logroño, the Museum of San Telmo in San Sebastián and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Huesca.
