Ștefan Florian (1965, Turnu Măgurele, Teleorman) Friendship (2019) watercolor, ink and pencil on paper; signed and dated lower right, in black: Ștefan Florian 2019 47,5 x 38,5 cm Ștefan Florian started his artistic career out of passion and as a self-taught person in Bucharest. At first he works as a painter and decorator then draws animation. In 2005 he emigrated to Spain, where he still lives and works. Dedicated almost exclusively to watercolor, the artist is inspired by the work of Nicolae Grigorescu and many of Florian's works have as a starting point the paintings of the great artist. Since 2017 he is a member of the Spanish Association of Painters and Sculptors (Asociación Española de Pintores y Escultores). In 2018 he participates in the 53rd edition of the Painting and Sculpture Prize "Queen Sofia of Spain" at the "Casa de Vacas - Parque del Buen Retiro" in Madrid.
