    Hockende Frau -- Bronze mit schwarzbrauner Patina. 1963. -- 28,5 x 14 x 17 cm. -- Unter der rechten Fußsohle monogrammiert "fl" und datiert. -- -- Fein ausbalanciert, ruht das Gewicht der Frauengestalt auf ihrem linken Fuß, während der rechte lediglich der Stabilisierung dient. Die Oberfläche ist fein durchgestaltet und lässt die darauffallenden Lichter als sanftes Schimmern erscheinen. Fritz Fleer studierte von 1946 bis 1950 an der Hamburger Landeskunstschule, der späteren Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg (HFBK), bei Gerhard Marcks und als Meisterschüler von Edwin Scharff. Als freischaffender Künstler schuf er ab 1950 gegenständliche Kunstwerke; seine Bronzefiguren zeigen sich als stilisierte und reduzierte Archetypen in formal strenger und klarer Gestaltung. H. 22 cm. - In the course of his oeuvre Fleer created a series of basic figures which he varied several times, always focusing on the standing, sitting and lying down of the human figure.
