    Peter FitzGerald (b.1956) WICKLOW ROAD; RUIN WITH I; FRIENDS IN PARIS; CLOTHES, 1995 signed with initials and dated in two panels, lower right oil on canvas; four panels framed as one 44 by 65cm., 17.5 by 25.5in. Exhibited: 'Eight Ducks & Other Paintings: A new exhibition by Peter FitzGerald', Kenny's, Galway, 15 September to 6 October 1995, catalogue no. 5 Each panel measures 7.75 by 11.75 inches. Born in Cork, Peter FitzGerald grew up in St. Louis and Seattle before moving back to Ireland with his family in 1968. He studied psychology at University College, Galway, graduating with a first class honours degree before completing a doctorate at Oxford University. In 1992 FitzGerald returned to Ireland where he completed a degree in Fine Art from the National College of Art and Design. In 1985 he had a joint exhibition in UCG with Dr. Noel O'Neill and a one-man show there in 1988. He has had several shows at the Kenny Gallery, Galway, and has also exhibited at the RHA. FitzGerald is a member of the Oxford Art Society and is currently editor of the contemporary art magazine, Circa.
