"Sunflowers with dented buckets". Oil /. 100 x 80 cm. Back sign. The bucket comes from Markus Lüpertz. Christa-Luise Fischer initially studied at the art academy in East Berlin. From 1992, a remarkable series of master classes in painting, drawing and graphics followed, among others with Prof. Karl Imhof (Munich Art Academy), Prof. Rudolf Schoofs (Stuttgart Art Academy) and Prof. Markus Lüpertz (Düsseldorf Art Academy). The picture “Sunflowers” was created in 1997 during a visit to the master class by Markus Lüpertz, who inspired the artist to the picture and even contributed to the depiction of the battered bucket as a deliberately chosen alienation of the subject. The still life thus gained its overall humorous, capricious appearance. Christina zu Mecklenburg (art critic): “Christ-Luise Fischer's pictures remain in an appealing floating state of light and shadow, whereby the cheerfulness of the sensuality, the ambience of cheerfulness and aesthetics determine her work.
