      F Fielding (British, early 20th Century) St Ives from the West signed and dated bottom right "F.Fielding 1911" watercolour h:29 w:46 cm Other Notes: The artist working more in the 1920's, is thought to have lived in Hemingford Grey and worked mainly in watercolour. The Norris Museum has the following information: Fredrick Fielding, 1940 (PWD/HOUGH/9, presented by him to the HLSI in 1940) has the following press cutting, from the "Hunts Post" 28.10.1948, pasted on the back of te frame: "Mr Fredrick Fielding, MBE, whose death was announced last week, was the son of the late Mr John Fielding, of Gravely Manot. In his 84th year, he died at Westbury Lodge, Eastbourne, where he and his brother George have lived since leaving Buckden. Mr Fielding was a well-known painter in water colours, and his work had been shown in many exhibitions, including that of the Royal Institute of Watercolour Painters. The family was connected with Huntingdon for a long time, and included several notable artists. "HFHS transcriptions of MIs in Buckden church include his memorial - he died 18.10.1948 aged 84.
