Jacki Fewtrell Gobert ... Artist

Educated at The College of Fine Arts (UNSW), Jacki has had numerous solo exhibitions since 1982 and has her works in many private as well as government collections.
She won the prestigious Mosman Art Prize in 1982 and 1985 and is represented in their permanent collection. Her work became part of the NSW Govt. House collection in 2010.

She has also won the Kirribilli Art Prize (known as ‘I Heart Kirribilli’) in 2011 and again in 2012. She has been published in ‘Art & Australia’ Bicentennial Edition ,Summer 1988, ‘Controversy & Acclaim – 60 Years of the Mosman Art Prize’ 2009 and in 1980, the then Dept. of Education (now known as the Board of Studies) published a curriculum Jacki wrote for Yr. 9 on ‘Aboriginal Dreaming’.

She was a finalist in the last year of The Sydney Morning Herald Art Prize (1983) held at the CBA in Martin Place and has been represented in many group exhibitions such as Warringah Art Prize, North Sydney Art Prize, Willoughby Art Prize and her works are also in many private collections in the U.S.A., Canada, New Zealand, Russia, U.K., China & Singapore.

Jacki was recently featured in the Tap Gallery Real Refuses Exhibition were she was commended for the Best Watercolour.

Jacki worked as an art teacher until 2009 when she took take up painting and drawing as a fulltime profession. She opened her own gallery (Gobert Gallery) in 2011.
