        Fearon (Percy Hutton) "Poy". Sixteen academic nude studies, highly accomplished presentation drawings, one with printed note attached that reads 'Candidate for membership/ Percy H. Fearon', black chalks, several signed or initialled with some dated, on various laid papers, each sheet approx. 610 x 470 mm (24 x 18 1/2 in), or smaller, all sheets folded several times over protecting each drawing, some associated splits and tears to folds, surface dirt and handling creases, unframed, [circa 1890s]; together with two further portraits, one a seated elderly man, the other a violinist, black chalks, unframed, 1898 (18) ⁂ Produced by the artist while still in New York, before the death of his father and subsequent move to Bath, England. Upon his arrival in the England, Fearon was to complete his artistic study at the Herkomer School of Art.

Baldwin greeted Churchill's Budget speech as 'a masterpiece of cleverness and ingenuity', but Churchill doubted whether he had really helped to drag the economy out of its post-war malaise."
