      Faulkner (Benjamin Rawlinson, 1787-1849). A pair of portraits of Sir Digby Cayley, 7th Bt. and his wife Lady Dorothy Cayley, by Faulkener, 1842, two half length oil on canvas portraits, both signed and dated, showing Sir Digby standing with country landscape behind and Lady Dorothy seated, approx. 1260 x 1000mm (49.5 x 39.5ins), in matching finely moulded gilt frames, with identification plaques to each Dorothy Cayley (1802-1881) was the daughter of Reverend George Allanson and Anne Elizabeth Davies. She married Sir Digby Cayley, 7th Bt., son of Sir George Cayley, 6th Bt. and Sarah Walker, on 8 July 1830. The portrait painter Benjamin Rawlinson Faulkner exhibited 64 times at the Royal Academy and 32 times at the Society of British Artists. (2)
