The work is framed under perspex. The frame shows usual traces of wear and the glass bears minimal scratches. Fatima Allotey (b. 1981) The paintress and installation artist Fatima Allotey who was born in Ghana in 1981, studied at the art academy in Barcelona. Her first exhibition took place in the Florence Lynch Gallery, New York in the year 2000. The work of the artist bears autobiographical references and is influenced by her background and her stay in Spain. In her work, Allotey deals with herself and engages with physical and spiritual topics. Fatima Allotey lives and works in Accra (the capital of Ghana).
