Brian Francis Fanning (1933-2005) Wicklow Hills oil on board signed lower left & dated '03 h:62.50  w:91.50 cm. Provenance: By Descent Brian Francis Fanning (1933- 2005), who signed his name Brian Francis, was a 20th Century Irish artist working in oils and distemper, primarily on landscape subject matter. After studying at the Central College of Art in the 1950's, he returned to Ireland in the 1970's. He exhibited rarely, but had private collectors in Ireland and the UK. During this time he had paintings accepted to the RHA Summer Exhibitions on two occasions in 1988 and 1993. He worked En Plien Air and in his private studio in Dublin.
