Verso on the stretcher signed again, dated and titled. Verso as well as verso on the stretcher stamped badly legible «WKZ 12 […]». H 120, W 100 cm (support). Framed. In his paintings, Antoni Falat focuses on different situations from both private and public life. He often incorporates images of silhouettes from old photographs into his works, giving them a mysterious character and transporting the viewer back in time. Only broken up by a few coloured accents, the artist mainly works with a dark colour palette. Provenance: private collection Inzlingen. Condition report: Good overall impression. Slight surface soiling, edges barely noticeably rubbed. DEUTSCH: Falat, Antoni 1942 Warschau, lebt und arbeitet in Polen. «Titanik III». Öl auf Leinwand. U.r. sign., «11.XI.89» dat. und bez. «R.P.». In seinen Gemälden thematisiert Antoni Falat unterschiedliche Situationen sowohl aus dem privaten als auch dem öffentlichen Leben. Häufig arbeitet er Aufnahmen von Silhouetten aus alten Photographien in seine Werke ein. Hierdurch wird ihnen ein geheimnisvoller Charakter verliehen und der Betrachter in die Vergangenheit versetzt. Meist arbeitet der Künstler mit einer dunklen Farbpalette, die lediglich durch wenige farbige Akzente durchbrochen wird. Provenienz: Privatsammlung Inzlingen. Zustandsbericht: Guter Gesamteindruck. Leichte Oberflächenverschmutzung, Bildkanten kaum merklich ber.
