        John F. Kennedy White House Portrait, by Fabian Bachrach A black and white portrait, measuring 7.875" x 9.75", [Washington, D.C.], undated [Ca. 1960]. A stoic-looking Kennedy, photographed by Fabian Bachrach. Mounted to the overall size of 10.75" x 14". On verso is a label reading: "P-53742-NFS…Photo by Fabian Bachrach/Reproduced by the US Army." Very fine. Louis Fabian Bachrach Jr. (1917-2010) was an American photographer known for portraits of celebrities, politicians, presidents and other prominent individuals. His best-known work was this portrait of Senator John F. Kennedy, which was later used as his official photograph after he was elected President in 1960. This item comes with a Certificate from John Reznikoff, a premier authenticator for both major 3rd party authentication services, PSA and JSA (James Spence Authentications), as well as numerous auction houses.         John Fabian Carlson Winter Landscape Painting

        New York, Colorado, Sweden,1875-1945 Tonalist depiction of a snow covered meadow with dried tall grass peeking through melted patches and bare trees reaching towards the sky. Carlson studied at the Buffalo Albright Art School under Lucius Hitchcock before enrolling at the Art Students League in New York under Frank Vincent DuMond and Birge Harrison. Later on he become involved in the Arts and Crafts Movement at Woodstock as part of the Byrdcliffe Colony and eventually had his first one man show in New York City. Beside his school affiliations, Carlson also helped found the Broadmoor Art Academy in Colorado springs and opened the John F Carlson School of Landscape Painting in Woodstock, New York.
