Janieta Eyre is an internationally-renowned photographer whose works reside in permanent collections at the National Gallery of Canada, the Musee D’Art Contempora in Montreal, and the National Gallery of Iceland. In this striking self-portrait, Eyre frames herself as twin figures faced in opposite directions amongst a dissonant array of household objects. The image explores themes of duality and performativity in identity through Eyre's distinctive and theatrical lens.
