Evans & Sons Mahogany Grandfather Clock, Birmingham, England, 12 in. silvered dial with applied brass Arabic hour numerals, engraved dial center, sub seconds and calendar dials, moon phase dial painted with homestead and seaside scene, pierced decorated gilt corner spandrels and fancy pierced decorated blued hands, brass eight-day, weight driven movement signed "W.F. Evans & Sons, Soho Clock Factory, Handsworth, Birmingham," half hour passing strike on a bell at the top of the movement and hour strike on a cathedral gong, solid brass pulleys, brass covered weights, brass covered pendulum bob and wood stick, mahogany case with arched crest having turned finials, corner columns on the bonnet, carved filigree above the shaped beveled glass door in the waist, running and striking, original finish, no breaks or repairs to the case or glasses, 101 in. high x 20.5 in. wide x 14.5 in. deep.
