    EVANS, John (fl.1794-1799). New & Accurate Plan of the Cities of London & Westminster & Borough of Southwark. London: J. Evans, 1st January 1796. 60 x 106mm. Engraved plan of London on two sheets joined, with inset views of St James's Palace, the Queen's Palace, Monument, St Paul's Cathedral, of London and Westminster, and Westminster Abbey, with a table of wards and parishes. (Repaired tears upper right affecting image, a few minor marginal repairs, occasional minor creasing). Framed. The first edition of Evans's detailed and highly decorative plan of London, extending from Islington to Lambeth and from Hyde Park to Limehouse. The map was reissued in 1798 and 1799. Darlington and Howgego, 207 (1).
