E. studied at the Berlin academy 1878-79 but was also given lessons by his father. 1882-83 he studied at the Munich academy under H. Wenglein and in Karlsruhe under F. Kallmorgen. Until 1886 he lived on the Channel Islands and at the English coast. 1898/99 he continued his studies at the Académie Colarossi in Paris. Eschke, Richard: Fischerboote bei Ahrenshoop

Fischerboote bei Ahrenshoop Farbige Kreiden auf dünnem Skizzenpapier. 38,2 x 48,5 cm. Unten rechts mit Kreide in Schwarz signiert "R. Eschke". Stimmungsvolle Arbeit, die die Aus- und Einfahrt von Fischkuttern in Ahrenshoop festhält. Eschke studierte zunächst an der Berliner Akademie, später bei Wenglein in München. Ab 1896 lebte er in Karlsruhe und setzte sein Studium bei Friedrich Kallmorgen fort. – Beigegeben: Drei weitere signierte Zeichnungen von Richard Eschke, dabei ein Aquarell "Frühlingslandschaft" und zwei Kreidezeichnungen "Gehöft an der Ostsee" und "Hafen".
