Evgeniya Mikhailovna Endrikson was born in Switzerland in 1907, and her family moved back to the USSR in 1917. She studied at VKhUTEMAS under the tutilege of Kupriyanov and Favorsky from 1924 to 1930. After completing her schooling, Endrikson worked as an illustrator and graphic designer at Pioneer and Druzhnye Rebyata. She spent the 1940s and 50s working as a children's book illustrator. In the 1960s and 70s she completed several works on Russian fairytale morifs and a series of paintings inspired by Mayakovsky's poem "Vladimir Ilyich Lenin."
