      Title: Babak Emmanuel Mixed Media Painting Vintage Description: On paper laid on foam core board. Our gallerist carefully examined this painting under magnification and there are hand painted pigments with visible impasto throughout in addition to higher relief direct from the tube paint appliques. Our online research has shown many of his works to be catalogued as mixed media and we are uncertain whether those examples are being sited as mixed media because of both brushed and tube laid paint or whether perhaps his works use Giclee inkjet printing under-laying and then entirely overpainted. One thing we are certain of is that virtually all to all visible pigments are hand applied.
