Date: 1954 Description: The depiction shows an idyllic meadow landscape with dominant trees in the foreground and a wide, slightly hilly plain behind it. Farm labourers are ploughing the fields. Countless fine lines and shading create depth and atmosphere in the engraving. Presumably a Hungarian landscape is depicted. Measures 8 in. x 11.5 in. image size 10.5 in. x 15 in. sheet size. In VG condition with small corner paper loss, upper left. Unframed, loose and not mounted or glued down. Provenance: Formerly the collection of a New York print dealer and collector, then by descent through family, Seattle, Washington.
