      Joseph Eidenburger (Austrian/American, 1899-1991), "Williamsburg, The Public Gaol," color aquatint/etching on paper, titled lower left, hand signed in pencil lower right, measures 8 x 9.75 inches to the plate mark, overall in the frame it measures 16.50 x 17.50 inches. CONDITION: Good. Eidenberger, an Austrian, is known for his many European scenes similar in style to Luigi Kasimir. However, he also did a series of American views of which this is an example. He was a master of the muilti-color aquatint process. This scene is a view in Williamsburg, Virginia.
