The 7% VAT of the hammer price will be taken off the bill. This decorative copper-engraved map shows the Old World with the Iceland-Siberia-Java-Guinea boundary with many depictions of historic events, beginning with the creation of the world up to the election of Stanislaus Lescynski as King of Poland in 1733. The map is bordered by the respective legends (1-217), which reference scores of historical events. With two schematic illustrations and a small world map in two hemispheres below the map. Condition The map is in very good to excellent condition. Skilfully restored and presumably colored at a later point. Smoothed creasemarks since the map used to be in multiple folding. Map newly glued onto backing. Margins just minimally stained. Firm laid paper, strong impression, excellent coloring. Dimensions of leaf: 59.5 x 46 cm, dimensions of plate: 56.5 x 42.5 cm.
