    Est: $400 - $600

    Oil on masonite, signed lower left, 12 1/4" x 15 3/4" sight, framed to 13" x 16 3/4".   Egleson was born in Quebec and immigrated to New Jersey with his family as a child.  He studied engineering at Swarthmore College and MIT, worked for the WPA as an illustrator, painter and muralist during the Great Depression, and served as an officer in the US Navy during WW2.  Egleson lived and worked as an illustrator and in television in the NYC area.
